Are you the one who is 'in charge' of your family and home?  Many women play that role and leave no time for themselves!  Set aside 20 to 30 minutes for yourself - everyday.  Include important stress balancing tools like exercise, planning nutritious meals and maintaining friendships.

Take A Pledge To Balance Stress

   

1. I'll take 10 minutes per day just for me for relaxation. I'll breathe deeply, close my eyes and visualize a peaceful place.

2. Once per week I'll take 1 hour to relax to combat stress. I'll take a bubble bath, listen to relaxing music, or take a walk.

3. Experts know the most effective stress reduction activity is exercise. I pledge to incorporate at least 30 minutes of vigorous activity into each day - 10 minutes at a time!

Tips for Balancing Stress - Everyday!

Tip 1: It's true! Our mind, body and spirit are connected. To 'get connected', try a yoga class designed for those new to this ancient discipline.

Tip 2: Feeling overwhelmed? Breathe deeply for quick stress reduction. Inhale through your mouth for 4 counts and then exhale through your nose for 8 counts. Repeat 3 times and feel the difference!

Tip 3: Studies indicate that exercise is the most effective way to reduce the effects of stress! Review our Exercise! pages for ideas to start moving ... and keep going!
